Turbine Pieces Removed
|
A large crane being used on a nearby transmission line construction project was used to move the dismantled turbine and associated components onto trucks piece by piece, ready for transport to Germany.
The crane arrived on 11/04/08 and was covered by channel 7 and 9 and local newspapers.
The turbine and associated parts were removed from the building and lowered on to a truck. Everything to be crated up and shipped off for restoration.
The next stage will be to replace old pipes and prepare the hydro room for the reinstallation.
