Congratulations on your nomination and justly deserved.  I visited Paronella on the 8th May 2007 on the recommendation of my daughter-in-law who had visited in a couple of years previous.

I only had a vague idea of what was in stall for me, but your friendly staff soon had me feeling very welcome and I think I was on the 10.30 or 11.00 tour.  Your guide was terrific and, as there was only about 8 of us, it was a very personal experience.  Seeing the Park as it was and the development planned was quite fabulous.  It certainly is a 'hidden jewel".  The story is fascinating and the dedication of all you guys at the Park to restore it to its former glory is more than commendable.

Seeing the lay-out of the Park was a highlight for me and I loved the little bats.  Your guide did a fantastic job and left us to explore at our leisure.  I loved wandering along the avenues of trees and seeing all the exotic plants.  Then, as only in Queensland, the heavens opened and we had the most amazing downpour.  Six of us were stranded in the changing rooms for the pool and it was quite the most glorious sight to see the rain pelting down on the falls.  Most people would see the Park in beautiful weather, but seeing it through a downpour was quite magnificent.  We eventually ran through the rain back to reception, where your staff gave us towels to sort of dry out.  It really was one of my highlights on our 'round Australia' trip and I've recommended it to anyone we met who were heading east.

Good luck with the nomination and I repeat that it is justly deserved.
