I would love to give Paronella Park the best possible recemondation for “hidden jewel”.
“Hidden”, it is.
When we came to Australia, we never heard of Paronella Park before.
We made a trip from Brisbane to Cairns by campervan.
On a highway, when we went to buy some fruit an icecream, my boyfrend called out to me and said:
“This is a place I want to go!”
There were photos of Paronella Park in the back of the shop, that drew his attention.
And when I saw them, we both wanted to go.
So we did.
This was in the year 2006. September. There was a big storm a few months before we arrived in Australia.
When we arrived at Paronella Park, from the road there was not much to see, we had to go into the park, before we saw what we came for.
Even with the distruction of that storm, you could see that Paronella Park is/was a hidden jewel.
So I think that the best reccomandation for “hidden jewel” is:
After a distructive storm, the oyster is a bit closed.
But you don’t have to look very close, to see that the jewel is still in there.....
I hope you have a lot of beautifull recomandations to receve!
Good luck!
