Great news to hear about this award and i would most like to write a testimonial about my visit.
I visited the park in November 2006 on a three month touring holiday, starting in Cairns and finishing in Perth and to this day it was one of the best stop overs i ever made. It was only a small write up about the park in my travel book of Australia 3 lines to be precise and my friends that i was with only had 5 lines in her lonely planet book.
We weren't sure as to how long we would stop to visit the park for, but once we arrived we knew that we had to stay overnight in the park grounds.
Its hard to say why we knew we had to stay, but there is something so magical and mystical about the park it spoke to your heart saying see me for i have something so wonderful it will live in you forever. When i talk about the park to my friends in Guernsey and show them the dvd and book they to have said you feel a vib coming from it calling you.
The whole park talks to each individual in its own special way and leaves you wanting more of this peaceful, tranquille environment. You can shut the world out need never worry whats going on in the outside world, it calls you like a magnet wanting more, and the more you have the more you want of it.
Im not sure when i will get back to the park, but i know one thing for sure when i visit northern Queensland again i will be coming to the park once more and living and breathing this magical mystical place and forgetting about the world outside. This place has a charm of its own, once there its holds you like a mother and father would and it will never let you forget by making a longing within your heart that you know you have to return home once more.
