TRIP TO PARONELLA PARK

Boxing day 2006 a trip I’ll never forget. While on holidays my partner Pat (Patrick) and I visited Paronella Park. In my wildest dreams did I ever imagine what journey I was about to take! This beautiful park has and will always have a quality and uniqueness that no other park will ever be able to portray.
The team at Paronella Park have an unusual way of telling the story and life of Jose and his family, they tell it as if you're “Frozen in Time”. Which is how I felt the moment we entered the Park.
You are able to experience the emotion and true ambience of this wonderful place. The uniqueness of how the story is told while walking down the grand staircase is unusual, you fel as if you are living each stage of Jose’s life as it was.
The quality of how Paronella Park is kept, is due to the staff’s knowledge of the history of the Castle and Jose and the high standard of maintaining the Park to its originality.

When we arrived at Paronella Park we were greeted at the steps so friendly and welcoming. During the journey though the Castle, I felt like I’d gone back in time and could feel Jose’s presence and hear the music and laughter from the ballroom , with what took place many years ago. I was mesmerised by how alive and real this Castle was and still is to this day. It was breathtaking, every angle and piece of this place tells a story within itself.
I could visualize how beautiful and elegant Jose’s Castle once was by its original form. The story being told, the history you learn, is nothing compared to seeing, touching and feeling the atmosphere of Jose’s Castle, gardens and waterfall.

After leaving Paronella Park, I had this feeling I’d lived another life for a brief time, and the romance and laughter that once filled every inch of this castle and gardens was still with me.

Taken so much by this wonderful place, we have recently revisited Paronella Park (19/01/08) and I still felt the romance or the Park. If there was ever a place to propose to your special someone or get married, Paronella Park would be a special romantic place to do it. “A place to dream”
