Hi Paronella Park,
Last year me and my friend made a big trip through Australia and New Zealand. When we were driving along the east coast of Queensland a lady from a visitor centre told us to use the canecutter road more inland and we would find a very mysterious piece of nature, called Paronella Park, a vision of a man and his family.
When we arrived at Paronella we never intended to stay for more than a couple of hours. But we couldn't resist the offer to stay on the camp ground and enjoy a night walk through one of the most beautiful created parks I have ever experienced. I still can not say what Paronella Park is. A park, a way of living, enjoying, all my senses have been stimulated and I can only just remember those quiet hours just looking and listening... We did the bushtucker tour and the introduction tour, we saw all these butterflies, water turtles and eels. We tasted ants and looked for the little bats... But the best moment was de morning when we woke up very early, took our breakfast and two cans of coffee and just settled ourselves in the picnic area... Afterwards we wandered along the kauri trees with view on the castle and refreshment rooms... Almost heaven.
Now back home in Belgium, I still receive the newsletter and than my thoughs wander back to those precious moments in a marvelous environment.
I am looking forward to the next newsletter! Good luck with the hydro project!
