Hydro Electric up and running!

Paronella Park goes Hydro! (again)

2009 marked the year that restoration was completed on the original hydro electric generator at Paronella Park.

Harnessing the flow of Mena Creek Falls, the system now supplies all of the Park's electricity needs, and, produces excess power that is fed back into the grid.

The restored system adds an exciting element to the evening tours, where this power is used to illuminate highlights of the Park, including the waterfall itself!
