Tourism Awards 2009

Paronella Park has won the Heritage and Cultural Tourism Award at the 2009 Queensland Tourism Awards!

After success at State Tourism Awards for many years up until 2004, Paronella Park took an hiatus from entering following Cyclone Larry in 2006.

As a result of Cyclone Larry, and following a lengthy clean up, a greater emphasis was placed on making Paronella Park better than ever.

This culminated in 2009 being Paronella Park's most successful year under the ownership of Mark and Judy Evans (since 1993).

Restoration of the original hydro electric system and being voted the number 1 must do in Queensland in RACQ's online competition put the Park in a great position to, once again, enter the Queensland Tourism Awards.

Paronella Park will strive to improve in 2010 in an effort to take this success one step further and, hopefully, to win at the Australian Tourism Awards.
