The Generator

The existing Hudson & Gault Synchronous generator is in unknown condition.
All exterior electrical components such as field setting resistor, voltage regulator, could not be found, although these components could have been housed in a different location.

The generator could have not been used for grid parallel operation without the installation of very costly additional components such as voltage regulator and synchronoscope to name the most important ones.

Cannot tell if it is beyond repair. Needs to be dried out and tested.
Recommended that we do not refurbish the generator due to cost with little return for investment. Recommended we replace it with another refurbished synchronous or asynchronous generator. Depending on if we decide to connect to the grid.
